Asian dominoes and domino sets are different in several ways from Western dominoes. Domino games traditionally played with Asian dominoes require additional components. Asian domino sets include 32 dominoes, while standard Western sets contain 28 dominoes. Asian dominoes are larger than Western dominoes. Asian dominoes commonly have carved, cup-like painted depressions and no bar across the middle separating the two halves. Numbers 1,3,4,and 8 are painted in red, and numbers 2,3,5, and 6 are painted in white. Asian domino sets have no blanks.
